Sergeant Edward J. Crabb
Sergeant Edward J. Crabb US Army. He was the son of Parents: Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Crabb, and husband to Captola Smith. He lived in Dayton, Ohio. He entered the US Army on October 23, 1941. He trained at Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland; Fort Sill, Oklahoma; Camp Livingston, Louisiana; Fort Bragg, North Carolina; Hunsingtown, Pennsylvania. He went overseas on November 2, 1942. He served in Africa, Tunisia, Sicily, Naples, Anzio, France, Rhineland, Central Europe. Earning the Bronze Arrowhead with 8 battle stars on the ETO Medal, American Defense Ribbon, American Campaign Medal, and the Victory Medal. He served in the US Army for 47 months. He returned to United States on September 6, 1945. and was discharged at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas, on September 13, 1945. In 1946 his occupation was Employee of Frigidaire1 Dayton, Ohio.
