Private First Class CHARLES F. Price
Private First Class CHARLES F. Price US Army. He was born on January 14, 1914 in Williamsberg Kansas the son of Frank Price and Ida Price, of 223 East Elwood Street Phoenix, Arizona. He had 2 brothers one of whom was PFC John W. (Bill) Price 358369 KIA, and 2 sisters. He was married to Joan Price and had a Stepchild John G. Pitcher. He entered the US Army on June 27, 1941 at the age of 27. He serves as an Infantryman and as a Bandsman. He trained at Camp Roberts, California; Camp San Luis Obispo, California; Fort Lewis, Washington. He served overseas from September 24, 1942 until September 21, 1945. Serving in the Asiatic-Pacific Theatre, he served in the engagements of Bismarck Archipelago, Luzon, Southern Philippines. He was awarded the Philippine Liberation Ribbon, American Defense Ribbon, Asiatic-Pacific Theatre Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal and the World War Two victory Medal. He was discharged at Camp Beale, California on September 28, 1945, after 51 months, and 2 days of service. As of 1946 he was working as a Plasterer. He was married to Joan Price and had a Stepchild John G. Pitcher. He died April 28, 1986 at the age of 72 in Tucson, Arizona.
