Sgt. Earnest Barnes 18014347

Sgt. Earnest Barnes US Army. He was born in Buffalo, Texas on May 28, 1924. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Willis Barnes, of 1411 E. Skelly St., Hobbs New Mexico. and brother of T/5 Calvin Barnes 38441653. Earnest  was educated in Hobbs New Mexico. He volunteered for service in 1940. He trained in the desert in Calif. and swamps of Louisiana. He sailed for the South Pacific he fought in the battle for Bougainville.
