Sergeant Louis R. Corradeno 32697701, US Army KIA. He was born on June 1, 1923 in Manhattan, New York, the son of Andrew Corradeno and Rose Corradeno. He servers with the 745th Tank Battalion, attached to the 1st Infantry Division on landing in Normandy on D-Day +3 or +4. He later served with Company A, 747th Tank Battalion, attached to the 29th Infantry Division. He died on Thanksgiving day November 22, 1944 while gathered in a courtyard around a tank after they had just returned from the front. His tank apparently was among a few knocked out earlier during the Roer Offensive. A large shell landed in the courtyard killing several soldiers Including Andrews, Kenneth Bray, Kenneth Diehl and Louis R. Corradeno. Sergeant Corradeno was killed in action at the age of 21.
