T Sergeant Alfred H. Allen 38305398 POW US Army Air Corps. He is the son of John Thomas Allen, and Effie May Dorsey Allen, Henderson, husband of Reba Maynard He had five brothers and three sisters two of his brothers served in World War Two, Seaman 2^nd Class Clyde G. Allen, Staff Sergeant Herman Neil Allen (KIA). Entered Army Air Corps, 1942, trained at Sheppard Field, Tyndall Field, Florida, Salt Lake City, Utah, Gowen Field, Id., Mt. Home, Id., Windover Field, Utah., Hammer Field, Cal. and Hamilton Field, Cal. He served in 461 Bomb Group 15^th Air Force. He served in Italy, POW in Germany for one year, in Luft 4. He was awarded Purple Heart, Air Medal, 1 OLC, GC Medal and ETO Ribbon with 3 Battle Stars. Wounded in Italy in 1944. Discharged in 1945.
