Private Philip Allan McAdam service number 37598527, United States Army Killed in Action. He was born on October 18, 1918, the son of Edward Lippincott McAdam, of 1088 Lombard AVE. Saint Paul Minnesota. He graduated from Center High School in 1937. He attended the University of Texas in Austin Texas and was in the Class of 1943. He entered the US Army on July 8, 1944 at the age of 25 at Fort Snelling Minnesota. At the time of his enlistment, he weighed 145 pounds and was 6 feet tall with brown hair and brown eyes. He served in the 152nd Infantry Regiment, 38th Infantry Division. He was Killed in Action on February 12, 1945 on Luzon, at the age of 26. He was awarded the Purple Heart Medal (PHM), the Combat Infantry Badge, the American Campaign Medal, the pacific campaign medal (PTO), and the World War two Victory Medal.
