On Jan. 1, 1942 and moved to Carolina Maneuver Area July 10, 1942 and to Fort Bragg N.C. Aug. 15, 1942; staged at Fort Dix N.J. Nov. 5, 1942 and departed New York P/E Dec. 11, 1942 and arrived in North Africa Dec. 25 1942 where elements had assaulted Fedala and Safi Nov. 8, 1942; assaulted Licata and Scoglitti Sicily July 9, 1943 and moved to England Nov 25, 1943; landed in France June 11, 1944 and crossed into Belgium Sept. 6, 1944 and into Holland Sept. 16, 1944; first entered Germany Oct. 4, 1944 and returned to Belgium Dec. 22, 1944 and to Holland Feb. 14, 1945; reentered Germany Feb. 23 1945; returned to New York P/E Jan. 29, 1946 and moved to Camp Hood Texas Feb. 4, 1946 where inactivated March 25, 1946. Campaigns: Algeria-French Morocco, Tunisia, Sicily, Normandy, Northern France, Rhineland, Ardennes-Alsace, Central Europe
