Warren Wyo as part of the 2nd Division and assigned to the 6th Division there on 16 Oct 39; moved to Camp Jackson S.C. 17 Nov 39 and to Fort Benning Ga 10 April 1940; participated in La Maneuvers of May 1940 and returned to Fort Francis E. Warren Wyo 28 May 1940; transferred to Fort Leavenworth Kansas 1 April 1941 and to Fort Leonard Wood Mo 20 May 1941 where reassigned the 20th Infantry Regiment (Motorized) on 1 Oct 1942; participated in the Tenn. Maneuvers and moved to Camp Young Calif on 3 Dec 1942; relocated to Camp San Luis Obispo Calif. On 25 March 1943 where reassigned the 20th Infantry Regiment on 1 May 1943; departed San Francisco P/E 20 Sep 1943 and arrived in Hawaii 26 Sep 1943; departed Hawaii 8 Feb 44 and landed at Milne Bay New Guinea 18 Feb 1944 (attached as ALAMO Force Reserve 10 Jul-25 Aug 1944); assaulted Lingayen Gulf Luzon Philippine Islands 9 Jan 1945 (attached Provost Marshal General, U.S. Army Forces in the Far East 18 Apr-1 June 1945 at Manila) (attached 37th Infantry Division 7-12 June 1945); arrived in Korea for occupation duty on 18 Oct 1945 where remained active thru 1946. Campaigns: New Guinea, Luzon.
