He entered the Navy, in 1943, trained in Corpus Christi, Texas. He served aboard the USS Savo Island CV – 78. He served in Japan, Alaska, Pearl Harbor (PTO). Has the PTO Campaign Ribbons, American Campaign Ribbons and the World War Two Victory Medal.
