Private First Class Marion Louis Teply 37469842 US Army KIA. He was born on November, 29 1917, the son of Frank Teply and Mary Teply of Clarkson, Colfax county, Nebraska. He enlisted in the US Army on January 15, 1943 at the age of 25. He trained at Camp Roberts California, He left for the South Pacific Theater of Operations on April 30, 1943. He served in  Company I 106th Infantry Regiment, 27th Infantry Division, He was killed in Action on Okinawa on April 22, 1945, at the age of 27. He was awarded the Purple Heart Medal (PHM), the Pacific Theater of Operations (PTO), the American Theater of Operations, World War Two Victory Medal. His body was returned to the United States in 1949.
