First Sergeant Joseph Paul Falkenstein 15076361

 

1st Sergeant Joseph Paul Falkenstein 15076361 US Army. He was born on February 9, 1921 in Wheeling, West Virginia, the son of Joseph A. Falkenstein, and Lula Adams Falkenstein. He served in H Company253rd Infantry Regiment, 63rd Infantry Division during World War Two. At the time of his enlistment he weighed 150 pounds had blue  eyes blonde hair and was 6 feet 2 inches tall. He earned the Bronze Star Medal For meretricious service from February 17, 1945 – April 25, 1945 in France and Germany. On December 4, 1945 he reenlisted in the US Army.  He died on January 5, 1998, in Evansville, Indiana, at the age of 76, and was buried in Spencer, Indiana. He was awarded the Bronze Star Medal, the Combat Infantry Badge, the American Theater of operations, the European African Middle Eastern Theater of operations, the World War Two Victory Medal.
