T/4 Dorwin B. “Red” Clayton 38104389. He served in A Company 363rd MEDICAL BATTALION 63rd Infantry Division. He also served in as a medic in the 63rd Div. HQ & HQ Co. in World War Two. On March 19, 1945 in the vicinity of Ensheim Germany, during a mortar barrage that killed 2 officers and 1 enlisted man and wounded 5 other soldier. T/4 Clayton administered 1st Aid and carried all the wounded to safety. He was also wounded on March 19, 1945 as well. He earned the Combat Medic Badge, the Silver Star Medal, Bronze Star Medals (BSM), the Purple Heart Medal, The American Theater of operations, the European Theater of Operations Medal and the World War Two Victory Medal.
