Private First Class MASON LEE BRYSON

Private First Class MASON LEE BRYSON, U. S. Army. Son of Mrs. Bernard Glenn Bryson of 1618 Templeman St., Shreveport Louisiana. Brother of Captain BERNARD G. BRYSON, JR., and Captain THEODORE F. BRYSON. He was born May 6, 1924, and was a student at Texas A. and M. College prior to his induction February 6, 1943, in Houston, Texas at the age of 18. From Camp Wolters, Texas, he went to Fort Sam Houston, San Antonio, and to Camp Roberts, California, and Camp Adair, Oregon, to join the 91st Infantry Division with which he served overseas. He embarked April 21, 1944, for Oran, North Africa. After further training there and at Naples, he took part in the campaigns of Rome-Arno, the PO Valley, and the North Apennines (ETO). He has the European African Middle Eastern Theater of Operations Ribbon, the Combat Infantry Badge and Good Conduct Medal. He served as a heavy machine gunner, Company H, 363rd Infantry Regiment, 91st Division. He returned to Camp Myles Standish, Massachusetts, and was honorably discharged November 8, 1945, at Camp Shelby, Mississippi.
