James Delwin “Babe” or “Doc” Wester 18217888, US Army

James Delwin "Babe" or "Doc" Wester 18217888, US Army.  He was born on August 3, 1923 in Floydada, Texas, the son of James Clinton Wester and Sibyl McGhee Wester. He was an Eagle Scout and in the Order of the Arrow (OA). He graduated from Floydada High School, and attended University of North Texas UNT (North Texas State Teachers College). He enlisted in the US Army in On December 4, 1942, at the age of 19, in Denton Texas. At the time of his enlistment he was 5 foot 7 inches tall weighed 116 pounds had Blonde hair and Blue Eyes.After his discharge he went to Baylor University College of Dentistry. During the Korean War, he entered the US Army Dental Corp in 1950 and From February 12 1951 – March 10 1951 he served at Fort Sam Houston Texas. After that he served at Walter Reed Army Hospital.  He was received an Honorable Discharge in 1952.He practiced dentistry in Garland Texas for 54 years before retiring to East Texas. He died on April 21, 2016 in of Hide-a-way, Texas at the age of 92.
