Sergeant HUBERT EDWARD ROBINSON 38387440, U. S. Army. Husband of Dorothy Mae Robinson, of 2924 Lillian Street, Shreveport Louisiana, and father of Carol Ann Robinson. He was born November 23, 1923, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Enoch Robinson of Downsville, and was with the Coca-Cola Bottling Company, Shreveport, prior to entering the Cavalry January 20, 1943 at the age of 19. He trained at Fort Riley, Kansas, and Fort Benning, Georgia, and served as radio operator and communications chief for the 128th Cavalry Reconnaissance Squadron. On January 26, 1945, he embarked for Lellavre, France. In France, Germany, and Austria, he served as a section leader in the 71st Cavalry Reconnaissance Troop (Mechanized) of the 71st Infantry Division, Third Army. He fought in the Battles of the Rhine and Central Europe and fulfilled reconnaissance duties. He has the European Theater of Operations (ETO) Ribbon with two battle stars, the Good Conduct Medal, the American Defense Ribbon, and World War Two Victory Ribbon. He was honorably discharged after about three years of service, on January 16, 1946, at Camp Shelby, Mississippi.
