Radioman, Third Class Harold Eugene Petoch, Jr.

Radioman, Third Class Harold Eugene Petoch, Jr. US Navy. Born 21 April 1926 in Denver. Attended Lincoln, Byers Junior and South High School, and entered the Navy on 19 February 1944, at the age of 17. Received preliminary training at U. S. Naval Training Station at Farragut, Idaho, and served with LSM Group 20, F lot. 7; LSM 68. Principal action aboard LSM 68 was the assault on Brunei Bay, Borneo. Radioman Petsch was awarded the American Theater Area Ribbon, the Asiatic Pacific Area (PTO) Ribbon with Bronze Star, Philippine Liberation, and World War Two Victory Medal. He was Harold E. Petsch of Denver, he was a packing house employee honorably discharged on 9 May 1946. The son of Mr. and Mrs. before entering service.
