T/5 Milton R. Parker, US Army Infantry KIA. He was born on February 24, 1922 the son of Sally C. Parker and Wiley T Parker of Rt 3 Redland  / Lufkin Texas . He was also the brother of Milton attended Redland High school. He enlisted on November 21, 1942 trained at Camp Howze, Tex. and Camp Claiborne, La. He served in Company E 335th Infantry 84th Infantry Division in England, France, Belgium, Holland and Germany.He was Killed in Action April 23, 1945, at the age of 23. He was awarded the Bronze Star Medal, Purple Heart Medal, the Good Conduct Medal and the ETO Ribbon with 5 Battle Stars. His remains were returned to Texas in 1949.

His remains were returned to Texas in 1949.
