Technician Fifth Grade DESMOND P. HILTON 38128715 Leflore, County Oklahoma. He was born on December 21, 1914, the son of Carl W Hilton and Evelyn Hilton. He entered the US Army on May 26, 1942, at the age of 27. He trained at Fort Sill, Oklahoma; Camp Hood, Texas; and Camp Claiborne, Louisiana. He served with Company B, 634th Tank Destroyer Battalion. He Embarkation for the European Theater, in December 1943, he served in Normandy, France, and Germany. He was Killed in Action in Germany, on October 29, 1944. He was awarded the Purple Heart Medal (PHM), the European Theater of Operations (ETO) Medal, and the American theater of operations Medal. On November 13, 1947,he was buried at Fort Gibson, Oklahoma.
