This is a photograph of 1st Sgt. Smith with the Fox of Fox Company that was found in late February or early March 1945 by Grover Dees, (KIA April 6, 1945) Robert Bane, and Thomas. The fox walked across Europe with Fox Company. Photo was taken in Gamberg Germany in 1945. The fox went home with 1st Sgt. William Gustave “Smitty” Smith.
