Entered Army 0n November 25, 1940, at the age of 23. He trained at Camp Bowie, Brownwood, Texas, Ft. Lewis, Wash., Portland, Ore. and Camp Bell Heaven, Fla. He served with 329th Infantry Regiment 83rd Infantry Division. He served in France Luxembourg and Germany. Killed on October 1, 1944, in Germany, at the age of 26. He was awarded Purple Heart Medal (PHM).
