JAMES EDWARD, DAVIS JR., US Merchant Marine, He was the son of Mrs. J. E. Davis of Concord, entered service December 1941. He was lost at sea when his ship, SS Carrabulle, was torpedoed in the Gulf of Mexico May 26, 1942. He was awarded the Mariner's Medal.
