Staff Sergeant Elbert S. Andrews, 38132076 US Army. He was born in 1916, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Sam Andrews, of Olney Texas. He was the brother of Sergeant Clifford H. Andrews, T/3 Thelbert W. Andrews, and Private First Class Arthell W. Andrews. Elbert was also the, husband of Jo Frances Clearman. He entered the Army on, April 15, 1942 in Abilene Texas, around the age of 25. He trained at Fort Clark, Texas, Fort Custer, Michigan, Camp Ellis, Illinois and Camp Beale, California. He served on Okinawa. He was awarded the GOOD CONDUCT MEDAL, the Asiatic Pacific Theater of operation Medal (PTO) with 1 Battle Star, the American Theater of operation Medal and the World War Two Victory Medal. He was discharged in 1946.
