Private First Class Artemas W. Tennisen, Jr.,

Private First Class Artemas W. Tennisen, Jr., son of Mrs. Artemas Tennisen, Sr., Meridian, and the brother of Corporal Jonathan Tennisen. Attended Meridian High. He entered Army, 1942, trained at Fort Sill, Oklahoma, Fort Knox, Kentucky, Camp Swift, Texas, Camp Hood, Texas, and Camp Claiborn, La. Served in England, France, Belgium, Holland and Germany. Awarded Victory, Good Conduct and ETO Ribbons with 2 Bronze Stars. Discharged in 1946.
